Review Methodology
How we test, score, and recommend products
Our Testing Philosophy
Every review on Camera Export is based on hands-on testing or extensive research from verified owner experiences. We do not write reviews based on press releases or manufacturer specs alone. If we haven't tested it or thoroughly researched it, we say so.
Our goal is to answer one question: Is this worth your money? Not just "is it good in a vacuum" — but specifically for your use case, budget, and needs.
How We Select Products
- We monitor bestseller lists, forums (Reddit, PCPartPicker), and release announcements
- We prioritize products with significant real-world adoption
- We include products across multiple price points — not just premium options
- We refresh roundups when products are discontinued or significantly updated

Our Rating System
We don't use a 1–10 number score. Instead, every review ends with:
- Best For: The specific buyer this product is ideal for
- Not For: Who should look elsewhere
- Verdict: Our honest bottom line recommendation
We believe a contextual recommendation is more useful than an arbitrary number.
Editorial Independence
We are not paid by manufacturers to write positive reviews. We do not accept free products in exchange for guaranteed positive coverage. Affiliate commissions do not influence which products we recommend — see our Affiliate Disclosure for full details.
Corrections & Updates
We correct factual errors promptly. If you spot an error in one of our reviews, contact us with a source and we will investigate and update within 48 hours if warranted.
